COVID-19 Email Update 3 – 27 May 2020
My hope and wish at this time is that you are staying healthy, safe and sane! The warmer weather has definitely been very welcoming in my household as I’m sure it’s the same for many of you, especially those with kids. 😉
Firstly, regarding your membership fees. As with previous months, your membership will continue to be on hold for the month of June.
If you wish to cancel instead, please let me know as soon as possible. If you decide to cancel your membership, I will do so effective immediately, voiding the 30 days notice as stipulated in your membership agreement. If you choose to return at a later date, and do so by 31 December 2020, you will NOT have to repay the admin fee. If you return within 3 months of cancelling, I will honor the pricing plan you are currently on.
Secondly, as you know, we have a group of 30+ members who have been participating in our home workout programming, which is run and managed by Bilal. We are currently hosting 4 live sessions on Zoom for these members; 2 mobility focused, 1 strength focused, and 1 stamina focused workout. There is also a live Mobility session on our YouTube channel every Wednesday at 12pm.
The way this program works is simple. Every week, 4 at-home workouts are uploaded to a private cloud sharing service including videos of the exercises and detailed explanations. If and when required, Bilal provides each member with modifications and/or alternatives to the movements depending on their current level of fitness, equipment on hand, etc. Members are able to access and do these workouts at their convenience. If you wish to know more or join in, even partially via 5-pack or 10-pack options, please let me know and I’ll get back to you with more information.
Thirdly, I have begun preparations for when we are able to reopen. The full FreeRun facility has had both a deep clean and a hospital-grade sanitisation treatment provided by professional services. Planning and preparations are also underway regarding aspects such as space allocation, use of equipment/obstacles/truss, enhanced cleaning and sanitisation processes, etc. The number 1 priority is safety for every being that walks through our doors!
And finally, we are also working on specialised workout programs and scheduling, both in-person and live online sessions, that will be in place temporarily when we do open. The hope is that we will eventually be able to return to our normal scheduling but this may take months. To facilitate this we will be launching a new FreeRun app in the next few days that will allow members to book their visits ahead of time, which will be made compulsory.
As always, I’m here if you wish to discuss anything and/or have any questions, either via email or at 905 812 5240.
